What types of pipes does Oil Creek Plastics manufacture?

What’s the difference between IPS and CTS gas pipe?

IPS (Iron Pipe Size) and CTS (Copper Tube Size) refer to different outside diameter standards:

  • IPS: Commonly used in industrial and large-scale utility projects. But also in residential and smaller utility applications for LP Vapor and natural gas.

  • CTS: Typically installed in residential or smaller utility applications. This is also used for LP Vapor and natural gas end use.

Both come in black with yellow stripes, and yellow color options for gas use.

What is PE-RT pipe used for?

PE-RT (Polyethylene of Raised Temperature Resistance) is ideal for:

  • Potable water systems (hot/cold)
  • Radiant floor heating
  • Hydronic applications

It’s flexible, easy to install, and designed to handle high temperatures.

Does Oil Creek Plastics provide piping for geothermal systems?

Yes! We manufacture high-performance geothermal piping designed to maximize the efficiency of ground-source heat pumps and geothermal installations.

Is polyethylene pipe approved for underground gas systems?

Absolutely. Our Yellow and Black polyethylene gas pipes meet ASTM and other standards for safe underground gas distribution.

Can I use your pipes for residential water service?

Yes. Our potable water piping options, including PE-RT for residential hot and cold water lines and Aqua Jet/Aqua Blue SIDR Series, are engineered for residential water well pump systems.
